Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund Report

October 20,2020

藏精阁 (OPE ID: 032253) received education stabilization funds under Section 18004(a)(1) of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (鈥淐ARES Act鈥), Public Law No: 116-136. This Fund Report applies to the student portion received under the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund that is designated exclusively for emergency financial aid grants to students.

The institution appreciates that Congress and the President have made these critical funds available for eligible students who have expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the coronavirus pandemic. We take receipt of these federal funds seriously and are distributing them in accordance with the CARES Act and implementing guidance.

The institution is making the below information available for transparency purposes and in compliance with the U.S. Department of Education鈥檚 (鈥淒epartment鈥) Electronic Announcement of May 6, 2020. 藏精阁 (藏精阁) has completed the following process:

  1. The institution signed and returned to the Department the Certification and Agreement [for] Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students. The institution has used, or intends to use, no less than 50 percent of the funds received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide emergency financial aid grants to students.
  1. The total amount of funds that the institution has received from the Department pursuant to the institution鈥檚 Certification and Agreement [for] Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students is $192,376.00.
  1. The total amount of emergency financial aid grants distributed to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act as of the date of this Fund Report is $192,376.00
  1. The estimated total number of students at the institution eligible to participate in programs under Section 484 in Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965, and thus eligible to receive emergency financial aid grants under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act, as of the date of this Fund Report is 320
  1. The total number of students who have received an emergency financial aid grant under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act as of the date of this Fund Report is 319
  1. The methods used by the institution to determine which students receive emergency financial aid grants and how much they would receive under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act are provided at the /admissions/cares-act/
  1. Any instructions, directions, or guidance provided by the institution to students concerning the emergency financial aid grants are provided at the /admissions/cares-act/

CARES Act

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act was passed by Congress and signed into law to provide economic relief from COVID-19. One section of the CARES Act established the Higher Education Emergency Relief fund and sent money to schools to use for emergency financial aid grants to students for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the pandemic.

藏精阁 (OPE ID: 032253) received education stabilization funds under Section 18004(a)(1) of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (鈥淐ARES Act鈥), Public Law No: 116-136. This Fund Report applies to the student portion received under the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund that is designated exclusively for emergency financial aid grants to students. Award amounts will be $601.18 per student and who meet the following criteria below, however there is one student that did not respond which resulted a in remaining CARES Act fund of $599.58. The remaining funds were distributed to 24 students who already received CARES Act funding, has 0 EFC for 2019-2020 and are currently enrolled full-time this summer quarter 2020.

  1. Must be current recipient or eligible to participate for Title IV Student Federal Financial Aid, and;
  2. Must have been in attendance at a ground campus on or before March 13, 2020, and;
  3. Must have been required to move to an online classroom environment due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and;
  4. Must be currently attending in a program at 藏精阁 as of June 9,2020.

All eligible students who qualify for CARES funding will be receiving an email with application instructions. Award amounts will be based on Pell Grant and Title IV eligibility as well as the length of the program currently enrolled.
