The School of Pharmacy at ؾ offers a Doctor of Pharmacy and a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences, both of which provide students with the skills and education they need to thrive in a variety of pharmacy practice contexts.

Due to the university’s location in California – a state long synonymous with pushing the frontiers of clinical pharmacy and pharmacy education including implementing pharmacy provider status as the law – pharmacy students who attend ؾ enjoy a number of benefits. These benefits include being offered the training and ability to practice direct patient care.

Students who participate in the PharmD program can look forward to training at a number of clinical training facilities nearby the ؾ campus. There, students will have the introductory and advanced clinical experiences designed to prepare them for their future role as pharmacy practitioners. Included among those clinical practice sites are major tertiary medical centers that allow our students to apply their skills in clinical contexts where technology and evidence-based medical practice intersect.

Pursuing a pharmacy degree within the School of Pharmacy at ؾ offers students the unique opportunity to fast-track their career while at the same time enjoying the highest quality possible education in an environment of community engagement, spiritual growth, and breathtaking California scenery.

Mission

The School of Pharmacy Mission is to inspire strong Christian values; practice evidence-based, patient-centered care; and foster a community of research and scholarship, so as to meet the healthcare needs of diverse patient populations.

The ؾ School of Pharmacy embraces the educational philosophy of the University, which is dedicated to prepare a professional and culturally diverse workforce for the pharmaceutical, nursing and research sectors of healthcare- a workforce who will utilize research and evidence based practice to guide healthcare delivery, understand the application of research, display high level competencies to health care delivery and value the continuation of learning.

“T ؾ School of Pharmacy’s Doctor of Pharmacy program has been given the status of Accredited with Probation by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education, 190 South LaSalle Street, Suite 3000, Chicago, IL 60603, 312/664-3575; FAX, 866/228-2631, web site , for compliance issues with the following standards: Standard No. 1: Foundational Knowledge and Standard No. 24: Assessment Elements for Section I: Educational Outcomes. For an explanation of the program’s Accredited with Probation status, consult the Office of the Dean or ACPE.”

American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy

The American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) has accepted ؾ, SOP as an Associate Institutional Member. The AACP, House of Delegates approved the resolution to receive ؾ as an Associate member at their July 2019, meeting in Chicago. Associate institutional membership is restricted to colleges and schools of pharmacy that have been granted precandidate status by the ACPE. Associate institutional members may appoint one non-voting delegate to the House of Delegates. Membership privileges include access to several key programs and products offered by AACP.
